Create Memories
NOT Litter
Weymouth is a leading UK holiday destination with thousands of visitors every Summer.
Every holiday season we run projects and work with other stakeholders to reduce-reuse-recycle waste created, under the banner; Create Memories NOT Litter

Crabbing
Crabbing has been popular on Weymouth harbour for decades. This Project educates on crab welfare whilst reducing and recycling the mainly plastic crabbing equipment which is commonly treated as single use and discarded.

Toy Library
Working with Weymouth town council 3 Toy boxes are provided on Weymouth seafront. Unwanted and littered toys are left in the boxes for visitors to borrow and return.
Any broken toys are removed and recycled as part of our recycling project.

Refill points
Weymouth has free water refill points in the town centre and along the beach.
We encourage the use of refill and reuse over the use of single use plastics. We are actively campaigning for the scheme to be rolled out away from the town centre and seeking funding for our own.

Beach Cleans
We carry out beach cleans on summer evenings to catch litter left after the council has finished for the day to prevent it entering the sea.
We recycle 90% of the litter which is mostly bottles, cans & toys and use the beach cleans to highlight how much could be recycled rather than go to incineration when collected by the local authority.
