Sustainable Harbours

Working  with Odyssey Innovation & Net Regeneration we recycle end of life fishing gear and marine plastics, free of charge from across all Dorset's harbours.

The scheme is sponsored by Rockfish the sustainable fish restaurant.

Gill Net

We recycle gill net with Net Regeneration where it's turned into 'econyl' a nylon fibre that can be used to manufacture clothing.

Harbour Operations

We can recycle most rigid plastics from harbour operations from pontoons to plastic pallets.

Trawl Net

Trawl net from complete nets to small net off-cuts from repairs are shredded, washed and processed into plastic granules used in manufacturing.

Marine Plastics

We can recycle most rigid plastics used in fishing  including fish crates, jerry cans, whelk pots and barrels.
